Doug joined CORE in 2006 after 3 award winning years with Manhattan's largest real estate brokerage. He provides the kind of thorough, no-nonsense approach one would expect from a master carpenter turned major movie set builder turned real estate investor, landlord, and now broker. Doug's strong work ethic, problem solving acumen and negotiating expertise come from years of collaboration, which he believes to be the key to every successful real estate transaction.
Prior to his career in real estate, Doug spent 13 years building movie sets, including serving as construction foreman on the film Titanic. His 40-plus feature films run the gamut of period, design and style. A townhouse expert, he owns, has renovated, and manages 5 residential and mixed-use townhouse properties in Brooklyn. Doug lives in a townhouse in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn and is very active in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill communities. He serves as president of the Myrtle Avenue BID, sits on the Historic Wallabout Steering Committee, the task force for Navy Greene, and is a member of numerous local organizations including the Society for Clinton Hill and The Fort Greene Association. This community involvement gives Doug an additional depth of knowledge and insight in the areas of land use, zoning, development and smart growth for urban areas.
Doug's diverse skill set and unique background provide him with keen all-around real estate insight as a service to both sellers and buyers alike.
